Arbitrator appointment

I accept appointments as an arbitrator but if you’re looking for someone to sit back and nap as you present your case, please do not appoint me. If, however, you need an arbitrator capable of sorting through messy facts and narrow laws, I am the right arbitrator. To read more about my style as an arbitrator, including my expectation from counsel, please read here https://anthonydaimsis.org/my-arbitrator-philosophy/

Counsel appointments & consultations

I accept counsel (lawyer) appointments only in areas I specialize in. Therefore, I will not “learn on your dime”. To read more about what you can expect from me as your lawyer, please read here https://anthonydaimsis.org/counsel-appointment/

Appointing me as an expert witness or opinions

I’ve served as an expert witness in both court cases and arbitrations. I offer expert opinions on Canadian anglo-common law contracts, international sales law, in particular, the CISG, and international arbitration. To read more about my approach to expert opinions and appointing me as an expert witness, please read here https://anthonydaimsis.org/home/expert-witness/

Teaching and training

As a law professor, my teaching areas include Contracts law, International Arbitration, and International Sales law. I use an adapted Socratic method intended to engage the classroom. A list of my courses is available here https://anthonydaimsis.org/courses/

I am also available to train lawyers (and non-lawyers) in my areas of competence. A list of these programs is available here https://anthonydaimsis.org/courses/

To contact me as a potential arbitrator, counsel, expert witness, or speaking and training sessions, please use the contact form on this website or send me an email using adaimsis@me.com
